How does the BookZero Xero integration work?

You connect Xero once with your Xero login. BookZero then pushes each scanned receipt into Xero as a Spend Money transaction from the bank account you choose, with the receipt file attached.

Which plan includes Xero sync?

QuickBooks and Xero sync are on the Growth plan and up. Every plan has a 7-day free trial.

Are my categories mapped to Xero accounts?

Not yet. Every receipt goes to the one expense account you pick when you connect, and the BookZero category is written into the Reference so you can see it in Xero.

Does it push bank transactions to Xero?

No. Only receipts are pushed. Xero already gets your bank transactions from its own bank feed.

What if a receipt is pushed twice?

It is not. BookZero remembers each receipt it has sent and skips it on the next push.

How to set it up

Click Connect on Xero
In Settings, open the Integrations tab and click Connect on the Xero row.

Sign in with Xero, then pick two accounts
Allow access on Xero’s page. Back in BookZero, choose the bank account receipts are paid from and the expense account.

Export from Receipts
On Receipts, open the ••• menu and click Export to Xero. It sends the receipts you checked, or all of them.

Your receipts are in Xero
A message says how many synced. A receipt already sent is skipped next time.
